David Weaver has been an executive recruiter and partner with Career1Source for more than 10 years. Over that time, he has filled key positions within a diverse range of industries including financial services, healthcare, technology, nonprofit, manufacturing and many more. Some of the recent assignments he has successfully completed include CFO, COO, VP of Operations, VP of Sales, National Sales Manager, Director of HR, Director of Marketing, Director of Behavioral Health, Regional Medical Director, Regional Sales Director and President and CEO.

David is a graduate of Bethel College in North Newton, KS, has an MBA from Wichita State, a degree from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Colorado, has attended the Cannon Trust School in Charlotte N.C., the Chubb Producer School in Atlanta and, in addition to being Life, Health and P&C Licensed, he also has his ARM designation.

Scott Wedel brings more than ten years of marketing, sales and operations experience to the Career 1 Source team. He has a diverse background in the banking, insurance, and transportation industries. His experience includes consumer and commercial credit, business development, branch management, agency and team development, operations management, pricing, marketing, sales, and customer service.
Scott ’s services are in demand among some of the most respected banking, insurance, wealth management and transportation companies in the U.S. His diverse background and extensive industry knowledge, along with his strong sales and marketing capabilities, make him a trusted strategic recruiting partner.
Scott is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a B.S. in business administration.
Keith Polischuk brings 12+ years of recruiting, research and development, mergers and acquisitions, and sales experience to the Career 1 Source team. He has a diverse background in the financial services, automotive, and healthcare industries. Some of the recent assignments he has successfully completed include: Vice President of Corporate Development, Employee Benefits Attorney, Marketing Director, Marketing Manager, and Senior Finance Manager.

Keith is a graduate of Gordon College in Wenham, MA. He is active in his local church volunteering in kids’ ministry and leading a small group for married couples. Keith also spends time volunteering as a peer mentor at the Shepherd Center, a not-for-profit hospital specializing in spinal cord injury.
Managing Partner and President
Michael (Mike) Smith is the Managing Partner and President of Career 1 Source and Ag 1 Source (Career 1 Source affiliated company) and has been involved in the recruitment industry since 1998. He is a co-founding partner in Ag 1 Source (2002) and has developed and led teams in several successful business territories in the Agronomy recruiting segment. He is also a founding partner in Career 1 Source, established in 2008. His current responsibilities, in addition to select recruiting engagements, include Talent Acquisition, Training and Development and managing both Career 1 and Ag 1’s ongoing personnel and business interests.
Active in FFA, Mike was the Star State Farmer of Kansas in 1978, earned his American Farmer Degree in 1979, and currently serves on the Kansas FFA Foundation Board of Trustees. His career in sales began in 1983 at the retail level with Collingwood Grain in Southwest Kansas. A promotion to management virtually coincided with a company acquisition which led to considerable exposure to leading and managing teams, expanding sales, hiring new employees, and ultimately leading his locations to top profitability among peers. Mike moved his career into the recruiting industry in 1998 where he has developed extensive working relationships with numerous candidates and companies nationwide.
